Systems Sized for Your Family, Programmed for Las Vegas Water
Las Vegas water arrives at your tap around 16 grains per gallon of dissolved calcium and magnesium. The experts say “very hard” starts at 10.5 — so Las Vegas water isn’t just hard, it is top-of-the-chart hard. Every shower, dish cycle and load of laundry pushes that mineral load through your plumbing and leaves scale behind.
One common misconception is that a water softener is a filter — it is not. Inside the water softener resin tank are thousands of tiny resin beads that act like mineral magnets. As water flows through, they grab the minerals — that is called ion exchange. Over time the resin reaches its capacity to hold minerals, and this is when the regeneration cycle occurs. When the system regenerates it rinses the resin beads with salt water to release all the minerals and flush them down the drain. Then clear water is sent through the resin to rinse the beads clean and clear. The system is now regenerated and ready for another service cycle. The regeneration interval can be set by gallons used or a timer. This is why softened water feels silky, lathers instantly and eliminates water spots.
Matching the system’s capacity to the size of your home is the first step. A couple in a small home requires far less capacity than a family of six with teenagers taking long showers. We start with a free water test, size the system to your household’s real usage and professionally install your system. After install we walk you through the system settings.

No — the sodium a softener adds is minuscule. If you want zero sodium in your drinking water, we pair a reverse osmosis tap at the kitchen sink.
Most installs are finished in a few hours.
It depends on your water hardness, household size and daily use. Capacity is measured in grains, and bigger families burn through capacity faster. That is exactly what the free water test determines — we size from measurements, not guesses.
